Colmeia Pousada - Ilha do Mel

Pousada Colmeia is a cosy, small and friendly accommodation option in Ilha do Mel. The pousada offers only 4 rooms and accommodates up to 12 people. Rooms are simply arranged, but carefully cared for and decorated.

Colméia also offers a bar and a common living room with sofas and hammocks where guests can share experiences and make new friends.

This pousada building was built back in the 30's, and World War II soldiers used to stay here many years ago. In some weekends, Romulo organizes themed evenings with delicious food. 

Pousada Colmeia has a very agreeable atmosphere composed of a social living room with sofas, TV, books, photos from around the world, logbooks, and so on. There is also a Cafe Bar placed in the pousada's front garden, with direct access to the square located in the way to the Lighthouse, also known as Farol's downtown. The bar/restaurant operates only on holidays and high season.

In case of delays, please notify the front-desk in advance.

Policy on children staying with parents:

• Children up to 2 years old are free of charge
• The charges for children from 3 to 12 years old depend on the season
• Children from 13 years old will be charged as adult

Cancellation Policy:

• A 100% deposit will be required to confirm your booking
• In case of cancellations made up to 72 hours prior to check-in, 90% will be reimbursed
• For cancellations after this deadline or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged and the rest will be reimbursed

Exception: during holidays and high season (December to March), all nights will be charged in case of cancellation or no-show.
