The railroad between Paranaguá and Curitiba was built between 1880 and 1885 and was by that time one of the greatest engineering projects worldwide. Until today the railroad is an important transportation channel for the goods to Paranaguá and most of its track is visited by tourists from all over the world.

Besides to enjoy the magnificent landscapes, travelers can see the great Atlantic Rain Forest in its biggest preserved area. This forest is quite important to preserve!
